Hail, O Virgin Theotokos! As thou didst receive the Good News of salvation at Gabriel  appearing and didst by thine own appearing at Walsingham cause the Holy House to be raised up as an everlasting remembrance of that same mystery of salvation, pray that we may ever bear in our souls Jesus whom thou didst bring forth, the Savior of mankind

Come hai ricevuto l'annuncio della salvezza da Gabriele nella Santa

Casa fa che Walsingham sia   un ricordo perenne di questo Mistero di salvezza, che tu hai portato   in grembo, Gesù Salvatore del mondo

(Lc 6, 20-23)

20 Then lifting up his eyes to his disciples, Jesus said,

"Fortunate are you who are poor, the kingdom of God is yours."

 21Fortunate are you who are hungry now, for you will be 

filled.

Fortunate are you who weep now, for you will laugh.

  22 Fortunate are you when people hate you, when they 

reject you and insult you and number you among criminals, 

because of the Son of Man.  23 Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, 

for a great reward is kept for you in heaven. Remember that is how 

the ancestors of this people treated the prophets.

Lettura dal Santo Vangelo secondo San Luca

(Lc 6, 20-23)

In quel tempo, alzati gli occhi verso i suoi discepoli, Gesù diceva: «Beati

voi poveri, perché vostro è il regno di Dio. Beati voi che ora avete fame,

perché sarete saziati. Beati voi che ora piangete, perché riderete. Beati

voi quando gli uomini vi odieranno e quando vi metteranno al bando e

v'insulteranno e respingeranno il vostro nome come scellerato, a causa del Figlio

dell'uomo. Rallegratevi in quel giorno ed esultate, perché, ecco, la vostra

ricompensa è grande nei cieli. Allo stesso modo infatti facevano i loro padri con i

profeti».
